Thanks for the heads-up, I had given up and switched off my ONT.
But landline is still down, so DSL might still be down.
This relevant for Hamra CO only.
well i contacted support more than a 1000 time and they checked my cables for like 100 time.
during they day internet connection is down , after 5pm-6pm it goes back again till 7 am in the morning.
all my neighbors that have ogero dsl subscription have normal connection 24/7 .

I have Fiber, and so far the connection disappears early morning till about 7 pm. I dont understand if theyre trying to make a point. Is there power to the Centrale or not? Are they rationing the fuel at night? We have no clarity on what's going on. I feel bad for Ogero employees but there are thousands of people that rely on the connection for work (like me) and I'm forced to use 4G data and spend even more on a connection to get my work done. It's a shit situation for sure. Hope things get better soon.
I don't feel bad for Orgero workers at all. They are just as corrupt as our politicians.

A sample of Ogero's corrupt lying scum employees:
Sample 1- Technician comes to connect new phone line. He claims he cannot because line is not labeled at box and it's not his job to identify which line is mine. I pay him a "tip", 5 minutes later my line is identified and connected, and he gives me his number in case I have "any other issues". 2 days later phone service is still not working, I call him up, he claims they must not have connected the line at the CO. But he comes over again "to make sure the line is connected correctly on my end" before going to CO, he gets paid another "tip", he then goes to the CO to sort the problem out, and voila the phone starts working after 2 "tips" i.e. bribes.
Sample 2- (different location than #1). I call Ogero's 1515 because of noise on the line that's deteriorating DSL connection quality. Customer support says they cannot do anything because location has no Ogero phone box (which is true). I call the Ogero technician responsible for the area, he comes over and fixes it same day and gets paid for his services since he didn't come as an Ogero technician.
Sample 3- I go to customer service office to disconnect service at one location and apply for new location. It takes 1 hour to apply for new service even though I am the only customer because Ogero employees are lazy bums who spend half their time chatting with each other and checking if their salaries have been deposited in their banks. At the end I am told I have to come on a different day to cancel/disconnect service because cashier office employee is absent and only comes 2 days a week.

We are all living under the same tough conditions. But the scumbags at Ogero are taking Lebanese businesses and home customers hostage for political reasons. We had previous Ogero strikes, but service never stopped all over the country. Yet this time after 24hrs magically all major COs have maintenance issues! Because they supposedly stored enough fuel for days in anticipation for a long strike.

How was service in Hamra restored yesterday evening, and went out again today morning if no Ogero employees are doing any maintenance, or refueling generators?
Don't generalize. There is Ogero employees who are keeping country alive for pennies, i know some of such.
And sure there is corrupt ones, like those you listed, they are dragging whole Ogero down and there is not much others and management can do, as labor law in Lebanon is not healthy at all towards government employees.

Another thing, Ogero is critical public utility + monopoly. At one side working in such government enterprise has very big benefits for employee, but some days like now - it comes as big disadvantage.
Because in many countries, critical public utility(telecom, fire department, government medical workers, police) + govt monopolies by laws are not allowed to strike and disrupt services, this is criminal act. They can submit resignation letter only.
The Ogero monopoly has never been a healthy aspect of our telecom sector and information technology industry. It stifled innovation and growth, and brought us down from leaders in the region, in the mid and late 90's, down to the worse ranks globally. The monopoly needs to end whether by law or defacto through the actions of the private sector.
Government controlled electric & water utility has already brought us back to the dark ages. And now the same is happening in telecom. Lack of electricity can be dealt with at the small business and individual level, but telecom is more complex and costly. Starlink, OneWeb, Kuiper... will not be a replacement for stable wired connectivity any time soon.
IT services businesses and free lancers that can help restore our economy by bringing in foreign projects and money are at constant risk with Ogero's monopoly in place and connectivity in the hands of a few corrupt politically motivated workers' union leaders.
Starlink, OneWeb, Kuiper... will not be a replacement for stable wired connectivity any time soon.
I can tell you - worse, they are strictly forbidden and there is heavy fines for using them.
Hello, Ogero is not working in dawhet aramoun area. No landlines and no internet. Anyone from that area can confirm that? Thank you

Same here in Bchamoun Madaress, Ogero no landline and internet, and the same for Touch and Alfa no internet.
No landline and no internet in Mansourieh area either. ISP says it's a kahraba issue from the centrale (they won't turn it on). Anyone know an affordable replacement for DSL that doesn't shut off whenever they feel like it?

Exactly! this shouldn't even be a lawful strike in the current situation everybody is suffering not just them, taking everyone hostage for is not lawful in any semi decent country like you mentioned. funny thing if I am not mistaken they will still get paid their salaries for this period no fs given which is also bs, but what would I expect

After receiving the modem from July, today on September 28 they came near the house and activated my service.

It's really a disappointing start after moving from a self-ISP.

Otherwise, it seems a good stabled internet connection.

Interesting. I’m subbed to the Ogero Unlimited OS Package, shows now it’s actually OS till 800 GB then it’s capped at 4 Mbps on the app.

19 days later
What's going on with Ogero lately? It's been 10 days and the browsing is laggy AF... I need to use a VPN in order to browse without having to refresh the page couple of times...

Same here, and that's on fiber.

Does anyone have slow download problems with Ogero? This is my second day and the download speed barely hits 2mbps.
Upload and ping are not affected at all.
I tried two different modems and it's the same. I'm on VDSL Mazraa central.

I'm having the same issue, I asked them to upgrade me to VDSL, they kept me on ADSL2+ and the internet speed dropped to 0.5mbps.. I emailed them and contacted them, they're still looking into it, today the speed went up to 2mbps (no more jitter, and better ping). It is still ridiculous, but I'm still waiting for them to fix it.

Do not ignore it, their support is horrible, so you will have to contact them multiple times. Also check your landline number, is it down? mine is still down.

You should be within 1km to the centrale. Most probably you are farther than that.
