guys any idea on the time delay for a dsl change of plan to be activated?
Feedback for Ogero

In Hamra, past few days my net has been disconnecting on its own about 20 times a day for about 1-2 minutes at a time, sometimes less. Packet loss, lots of errors in the router log and slower download speeds (from 15mb/s down to 7mb/s), kinda unplayable when gaming online.
Last night it was stable, with no cuts for a couple of hours. This makes me think its an external issue.
It was perfect for the past couple of years, I don't know what happened. Just wanna know if im alone on this?

Ogero is lacking mazout, so they are shutting down half of their servers to use less Amps
Im not that technically knowledgable, does that affect what I had written in my post? Packet loss and micro-disconnects?infiniteloop wroteOgero is lacking mazout, so they are shutting down half of their servers to use less Amps

I might be wrong but, if what infiniteloop is saying is true, half server capacity means an overloaded/saturated network which could translate into both packet loss (due to collision) and micro-disconnections.
Hello all, anyone of you ogero users are having high internet speeds inside the modem but not on devices? Inside my modem it gives me 15 or 16 mbit speed. But on alll devices it's maximum 500kb.sec. I tried more than 1 device.
They're all doing strict throttling at peak times, no matter how fast your modem says your speed is, especially on videos and downloads. If you do a download test on testmy.net you'll get something horrendous like 300kbps at peak times.Moudimadi wroteHello all, anyone of you ogero users are having high internet speeds inside the modem but not on devices? What an absolute joke of a company. Funny to think I actually defended them at some point. The past few weeks my net has been garbage. I live in Hamra with a ~16mb/s connection, all was well, now for the past week or so, it literally disconnects and reconnects every few minutes. It's unusable. And when it doest connect back again, it connects with a bandwidth of 2 or 3 mb/s, then disconnects again. And they have the gaul to put "Solved" as a ticket status on their website. Fuck them.
Maybe there is something wrong on your end.
I vouch for Ogero, and I've tested their internet many times through many ways.
They do no throttle speeds at all.
They do not block any domain.

I'ts not from my end. The pattern of failure is too random to be from my end.
It works flawlessly for 2 days, then back to garbage. And i've epxerienced this exact thing over a year ago, i complained and complained till they finally fixed it, worked great for a year straight, now it's happening again, my hardware has not changed.
Also, how would it be from my end if the bandwidth changes from 3 mbs/ to 15mb/s every 5 minutes?

Ogero offers great internet. They never did throttling at peak times. I am using the internet all day and play even in peak hours. The ping and the speed are stable.
I have some friends who were complaining about their speed. The problem was when you exceed your plan, Ogero reduces your speed so you will not consume too many GBs to avoid having a high bill. You need to call them and tell them to remove this setting for you to be able to have the full speed anytime you want.

In my case, this has nothing to do with throttling, it's the packet loss and micro-disconnects. One min it's connected at 1.04 mb/s, the next at 15 mb/s.HzSamer wroteOgero offers great internet. Red light on my router, then all of a sudden the next day, it works like a charm for about 12-15 hours. I already reported a fault, and they marked it as solved, but...it wasnt solved. LULW

I contacted Mr. Imad Kredieh on Twitter two days ago to check the updates on this tweet as I consumed around half of my plan in one day.

I didn't get a specific answer or a date, but in general, he told me that the goal is to have bigger plans like the fiber optic plans.
Also, there is good news. He told me that I can renew my plan without needing to wait for the next month.
When I asked if it is an upcoming or existed feature, he said "متاح بس اليوم الموظفين ما اجوا" and I think this option, for now, needs a visit to the central.
Also. I contacted Ogero to check about the renewal option, they told me "يمكن للشهر القادم".
So hopefully, we will have bigger plans next month.

Anyone Managed to get his admin credentials to his fiber modem (zhone model DZS)? Ogero refuses to help me in this matter.

I am wondering about the E1 and the dedicated lines packages ogero provides. Are they worth the extra money? I am suffering instability issues where I am in Jounieh.

Does anyone have inside information about Ogero's new plan pricings?
Seems very reasonable to be honest, much more reasonable than the greedy bastards at alfa and mtc which are looking to bite the same chunk of profit from every citizen as in the 1500 era (which was stupidly expensive by the way). I understand they need to increase, but within reason.
It seems like they’re looking for new sources to finance their private jets

We will know in a few days but here is an idea of how they will be. Ogero confirmed the 6Mbps unlimited speed.

Yes, IF your copper cable could handle this throughput.scorz wrote 50mbps unlimited? is that for real?
I looked carefully at the pricelist and it seems like Ogero would offer fiber in some cases if the user/client wants to subscribe to one of the first two plans while their line cable is poor in quality.
We'll hear more news, feedback and updates in the next few days.
Hello Samer, they said they will give us more quota when they release the new plans. I have the 200 gb i pay 70,000 L.L per month. So will i have the same quota 200 gb for 180,000 L.L? Or they will increase the quota too? Thank youHzSamer wroteM03 wroteDoes anyone have inside information about Ogero's new plan pricings?

But I believe, for the first time, Ogero will be implementing an FUP as stated in their website: " Unlimited plans are subject to fair usage policy.". I've contacted them through twitter last week about it and they told me they haven't decided yet how it will be but they said that they will make it "as fair as possible".scorz wrote50mbps unlimited? is that for real?HzSamer wroteM03 wroteDoes anyone have inside information about Ogero's new plan pricings?

The internet improved starting of July, not sure if anyone else has a similar experience. Bandwidth is more predictable.

So we’re reaching half of this month and still Ogero did not announce their new fair usage policy… I hope it is “ fair “ as they are stating. What’s a possible quota per day for an 8 mbps unlimited package?
Ogero's fair usage policy is going to be monthly, not daily.RH-ExtremeG wroteSo we’re reaching half of this month and still Ogero did not announce their new fair usage policy… I hope it is “ fair “ as they are stating. What’s a possible quota per day for an 8 mbps unlimited package?

Hey everyone,
So as you know recently Ogero and everyone else increased the prices of their bundles, but also added new bundles. I messaged them and request to be switched to the new Open Speed, Unlimited Internet plan (Was previously on the Open Speed, 200 GB Plan).
Here's what happened once I was switched over 3 days ago, I was immediately throttled to 4Mb download, and I had many issues browsing the internet, Twitch, Reddit, and League of legends would take multiple tries/attempts before they opened/launched.
I contacted them as I had only used 160 GB at the time so surely it was a mistake, they fixed the issue yesterday, but while I got my old speed back, the browsing/internet issues persisted. They claimed it was a Copper Cable/Fast path issue, I of course told them and showed them some tests I made that it can't be. I also discovered that I face none of these issues while on VPN, they are going to look into it, and hopefully they'll fix whatever they changed.
Has anyone faced these issues, or have any recommendations besides having to wait for Ogero?

i used to have the "unlimited OS" from IDM and it was crap. The most expensive option(which is the one i had) throttled you at around 8 to 12gb per day.

I upgraded my internet bundle from 160GB OS to Unlimited OS as well this month, which should take effect at the beginning of next month. I hope not, they do say that unlimited bundles are subject to fair usage policy however I couldn't find that policy anywhere. Will keep y'all updated, my current speed on ADSL2+ is approx. 23 Mbps Downstream and 1 Mbps Upstream, also requested the switch to VDSL so we'll see how that plays too :Shadim wroteHey everyone,

I upgraded last this month to Unlimited OS with VDSL, everything is great however still waiting for the VDSL switch, it has been more than 2 weeks. How long does it usually take?

Did any Ogero fiber customers have their speed downgraded when the new prices were implemented?
I was and still on the 300GB plan, my speed went down from ~200/100mbps to ~50/25mbps.
I'm connected to Hamra c/o, but a relative of mine on the same 300GB plan connected to Minet El-Hosn c/o didn't get downgraded.
The 300GB plan is now listed under the up to 50mbps section, but it seems Ogero picks and chooses who to apply the downgrade to.
Other private ISPs are still advertising all fiber plans as up to 300mbps.
