for its price in lebanon, i don't think it's due to taxes. dubai is tax free and it's almost the same price as in lebanon.
anyways, saw it at a shop, played with it for a moment, desperately trying to find interest in it, i was done with it after 5sec, bleh, boring.

To be fair, a big part of its appeal would be in third-party apps, which aren't loaded on it when it's in the shop.

I wish it had a f'ing camera. I don't understand that omission.

It's all about the hardware. If it was about apps, then there would be even fewer reasons to dump my laptop, or for the ones who own an iPhone/iPod Touch to get an iPad.
