Woah monopolizing the world cup broadcasting, how pitiful. In the article it says they have rights over the Arabian district of the world... doesn't that mean we can watch it on European/etc. channels that are aired on cable these days? Pshhh

my cable guy is charging 10000 LL for 2 month in order to watch the mondial
i am going to have a talk with him to see if i could get it for free or at least pay for 1 month

not really since those channels will be coded during  the broadcast and any party in lebanon that decodes them will suffer a law suit (either way illegal cables ARE illegal )

I heard you can now get the world cup from your cable provider for a small fee, can anyone confirm this?

yes, the government changed something about the copyrights rules i think, and they will have to pay 500000$ to art. But the cable providers will only have the right to broadcast it to home users, not restaurants and hotels. and i don't know if there is soething about paying more to the cabe provider coz i don'y know if the cable provider is paying anything...

well i told you guys that my cable man charged 10000 LL for two month
i was surprise today that he gave me back my money that was a first
apparently the agreement stated that the home users shouldn't pay anything so i got a refund

lol I went and watched it at a friends house who already had the subscription to art.... You get like different angles etc etc  Maybe the most usefull thing was the game highlights that you can check throughout the game
