Ok so I thought I would create a new post because I don't know where can I fit this.

And excuse me for being thorough because I like to give all info in order to get the best feedback!

-I had a cable internet connection of 256kbps at 25$/month.
-I have no landline phone and it's not that simple to get one because we don't have a dedicated phone box in our building.
-Now after the latest upgrade in speeds/capacity I was simply expecting an upgrade to 1mbps but I was disappointed that it was only to 512kbps.
-Being angry about it, I called the owner of the cable company to ask about it and try to get something better.

And oh what a phone call! It was long for 30min! He detailed to me all technical aspects but unfortunately I don't know a lot about these things (I do however know a respectable part as an end user).

He generally defended his offerings and even said that it's much better than other providers or ISPs!
His arguments :
-first the prices are trick. It's not only 24000LL but you should 5000 "tawabe3" and other fees which will get you nearly to 22$ or more.
-we give unlimited data (I confirm this)
-we give stable constant speed while all ISPs and ADSL providers use SUP (I confirm that the speed is practically stable) and you will enjoy full speed the first 5gb for example and will decrease gradually to reach pathetic levels...
-... Because they can never give you constant speed at 2mbps because you will consume your 40gb in less than 10days especially if you watch youtube
-they did not give 40gb yet
-all these offers are practically propaganda because the internet prices did not decrease a lot. It's only a 25% decrease while the offers have more than doubled! That's why you can expect worst service!
-current E1 price is 490$ and it's only 2mbps so how would you even imagine these low prices if they are really giving users real 1mbps or 2mbps!
-anyways, you will not reach these high speeds if you are more than 600m away from the "central".
-they eliminated free tarrifs during the night, which also aligns with what I'm trying to prove here.

He also said a lot of things. I have the phone call recorded and I can provide you with it, in case you care.

What do you think guys? Is this true? Are these ADSL kind of a fraud!? Are the speeds really that variable!?

He offers real 1mbps all the time constantly for 45$/month unlimited, which is much better of course for youtube watching or streaming!

Do you think I should get this offer or should O try to obtain a landline and ADSL??
I would like to have a reliable connection and would like to be able to watch YouTube without waiting 2 hrs for it to buffer!

Do you have any other ideas? Like providers that give respectable speeds and service at logical prices!?
