jasmar82 wroteWell Tako with all due respect to your opinion, you're just defending HP because your laptop is in a good condition (which seems to be rare based on the complaints posted in this thread ), and i'm pissed off from HP because i have a shitty one.
Besides,
why does my laptop has to be full of shit since HP products are so awesome ?
when i paid for it i don't remember ordering any shit inside it, yet somehow shit is all in my laptop.
I'm not defending HP in any way. I'm just arguing against your logic where one shitty product that happened to fall into your hands somehow stands to represent that the entire company that produced that laptop and that all other products they produce are of cheap or bad quality. If you can find a sentence where I praise HP or defend it in any way, I will gladly agree with you.

Let me fix that for you :D

There!

I don't understand how you don't understand how all it takes is one example to refute your entire argument... This is mere elementary logic. I cannot possibly see a reason why you would not understand that.
If I understand correctly, Xsever is claiming that through empirical data, he has deduced that their products are shitty. Tako is saying that empirical proof is not enough.

Either way, Tako_400, Xsever – let's stick to the topic. You can settle this via PM :)

PS: regarding laptop heat infertility, it's actually undetermined – http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/laptop.asp
I Got Hp-Compaq Presario V6000 ,s still works perfectly since 3 years,it has some heat problems, but its ok,and about the battery, its kinda dead! i got only 33% capacity!
i guess hp-compaq is not bad after all!
all laptops have heating problems.
I used an apple macbook pro i7 8GB DDR3, this is supposed to be the best.
After 3 hours you cannot touch any part of it except the keyboard.

It depends on what you were doing on it.

Not true. I ran "Burn Tests" for 30 minutes on the latest Toshiba and Acer laptops and temps stayed fine and none of my body parts were burnt.
9 months later
I will be buying tomorrow an HP-NB-DV6-6033 HP NOTEBOOK CORE I7-720QM 1.6,6GB,750GB,15.6", WEBCAM, FP. "refurbished"
Do you still think HP is the same overheating laptop like before ?

Ill appreciate your advices.. thanks
I SECOND THAT MATE
HP's
have
-Heating
-Bad build quality
-Poor Performace
-Die in aprox. 4 years
-have LOTS AND LOTS of hardware problems
-their graphics cards die quickly
-the screen wires break easily

i have fixed LOTS and LOTS of HP laptops
and i noticed almost 60% of them have motherboard problems
theres a way to avoid battery problem, see what kind of battery it is and google how to use that type of batteries, it will prolong the life 2~ years
batteries are more complicated than just charging :P
and agreed on HP overheating

if you want a good brand
lenovo and asus are good
but they arn't pretty as toshiba
if your going to buy toshiba make sure that the VGA is SHARED and NOT dedicated
errr why? most people get fooled by the shared vga, they think they bought 2048mb of vga, but its only 512 dedicated
Guys can you please edit all these nested quotes out of your posts. They're really unnecessary and clutter the screen too much.

I owned 3 HP Laptops and was never impressed with Battery life and heating.

My guarantee will expire next month, do you guys know if there's a tweak for the heating issue (DV6) so that i have them fix it?
