I've seen some N64s at souk al ahad (flea market) and a Sega Mega Drive. The Sega is definitely a knock-off, but I'm not sure about the N64.
Old school gaming
I have a sega Mega drive, still working like a charm, I've had it for like 18 years now :D
Yes megadrive remains very common in lebanon, both original and fake ones.
thanks rolf, I guess you are right I should not get my hopes too high. also in lebanon I think only the goldstar was ever imported officially, not the panasonic (the latter plays backups more seamlessly)
Best

The 16-bit Mega Drive and the Sega Genesis(same thing though) are still the best consoles(i used to own, only Mega Drive remains) with their awesome mascot "Sonic The Hedgehog".
NES and SNES :)
I have two megadrives a genesis with sega cd addon (i got it from the US). And like 5 gameboys with many games. Also have a non functional SNES.
Being exclusivealy a PC gamer, I still enjoy my collection of old PC games. Commander Keen, Dizzy, the original Worms, Prince of Persia, Desert Strike...
I made the mistake of letting some of the CDs get too old to be readable. Sadface.

This thread proves the existence of a lot of gamer wanna-bes.
Care to elaborate?kareem_nasser wroteThis thread proves the existence of a lot of gamer wanna-bes.
Simple: Many gamers in the gaming section but they didn't post on this thread(or some that are i expected them to post).Kassem wroteCare to elaborate?kareem_nasser wroteThis thread proves the existence of a lot of gamer wanna-bes.
What i meant by wanna-bes are the new "gamers" who suddenly became pros because they mastered FPS games such as CoD mainly.
i wouldn't really call them wanna-be kareem. most of them weren't around a PC during that time.
I still enjoy a few spins of Supaplex, Ultima, Desert Strike etc .... even Moral Combat 1 :P
Sorry Lance, no hardware to give you :P already donated them all years back :) (

Gaming is supposedly about fun, so why bring in this competitive aspect.
Trust some of them are. Just after all their bragging that they are pros ask them a single question about any other type of game like RPG or action/adventure.Padre wrotei wouldn't really call them wanna-be kareem. most of them weren't around a PC during that time.

FTW ! :)Wing Commander
As for old PC Games I really like point & click adventures: (all old lucasArts series)
- Flight of the amazon Queen
- Full Throttle
- Broken sword series (all)
you also have monkey island series.
On console,I traded my hardware for emulators as they take soooo much space!
I still have my dreamcast + Shen Mu somewhere!
Got most of the genesis and super nintendo hits on emulators :)
PS for people who like LucasArts adventure games, the engine they have (scummVM) is available for almost every plattform and you can get it from http://www.scummvm.org/downloads/ and still play every game :)

Anyone used to play PC games around 2000 - 2004? I still remember some of the great games I used to play (I was mostly into strategy games):
- Zeus: Master of Olympus
- Emperor: Chinese Dynasty
- SimCity
- World Of Warcraft: Frozen Thrown
- Unreal Tournament
- Worms
- Future Cop
- Rise Of Nations
- Freedom Fighters
I also played most of the COD and MoH series...
My dream game was to have one that combines something like SimCity/Zeus and Generals. I still believe that would be the most amazing strategy game ever!

Awesome. I remember playing the demo for Full Throttle, it came on one of those CDs that used to be included with gaming magazines. This was before the Internet took over everything. I used to love those interactice CDs filled with shareware, game demos, and video clips showing how to play a game.ZeRaW wrote- Full Throttle

I played Broken Sword 1 & 2, I have 3 (the 3D) one but haven't player it yet.
Do you remember Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle? DOTT has to be one of my all-time favourites.
I have to admit I have not played any of the Monkey Island games yet... shame on me. Again, they're sitting on my computer collecting virtual dust.
Did you play any Gabriel Knight titles? Space Quest? Gobliiins?

Games that i played from Kassem's list are:
- SimCity
- Unreal Tournament
- Worms
- Rise Of Nations
- Freedom Fighters
I used to play them in the late 90s internet cafes thats used to have games like Blood and Duke Nukem.
If you want a special god-RTS try Black & White i have the second one and it is great, it was design by Peter Molyneux though he is talkative but i like his games.
