Anyone used to play PC games around 2000 - 2004? I still remember some of the great games I used to play (I was mostly into strategy games):
- Zeus: Master of Olympus
- Emperor: Chinese Dynasty
- SimCity
- World Of Warcraft: Frozen Thrown
- Unreal Tournament
- Worms
- Future Cop
- Rise Of Nations
- Freedom Fighters

I also played most of the COD and MoH series...

My dream game was to have one that combines something like SimCity/Zeus and Generals. I still believe that would be the most amazing strategy game ever!

- Broken sword series (all)
Awesome. I remember playing the demo for Full Throttle, it came on one of those CDs that used to be included with gaming magazines. This was before the Internet took over everything. I used to love those interactice CDs filled with shareware, game demos, and video clips showing how to play a game.

I played Broken Sword 1 & 2, I have 3 (the 3D) one but haven't player it yet.

Do you remember Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle? DOTT has to be one of my all-time favourites.

I have to admit I have not played any of the Monkey Island games yet... shame on me. Again, they're sitting on my computer collecting virtual dust.

Did you play any Gabriel Knight titles? Space Quest? Gobliiins?
Games that i played from Kassem's list are:
- SimCity
- Unreal Tournament
- Worms
- Rise Of Nations
- Freedom Fighters
I used to play them in the late 90s internet cafes thats used to have games like Blood and Duke Nukem.

If you want a special god-RTS try Black & White i have the second one and it is great, it was design by Peter Molyneux though he is talkative but i like his games.
Actually, I used to play ALOT of games. I used to be an addict, literally. My relatives used to make fun of me when they see me not-sitting-behind-my-pc saying my desk will get mad at me :P

The games I mentioned are just some of which I remember that I used to enjoy playing. The list could go on forever! I wish there were more recent versions of Zeus and Emperor. I will consider buying Civilizations, a new version was recently released, should definitely be worth my time.

These.
by Future Cop I assume you mean Future Cop: LAPD, where you drive a police mech. I thought no one in Lebanon heard of this game!
"Crowd control situation!"

I still play Worms: World Party, which is pretty much the ultimate version. I didn't like Worms 3D.
Oh and of course, I still play Unreal Tournament, the 1999 version. =D
As well as UT 2004.

Yup, this is exactly the game I'm referring to. That's probably the first PC game I ever played, one of my favorites! I first played it on my neighbor's PC, then when I bought my own PC, I had it installed then I had to format and lost it ever since. A year later I tried to get it back but I couldn't!

By the way, is any of you into Football Manager or Championship Manager? My friends at school and I used to be obsessed about Championship Manager!

Urgh! Guys, you're dragging me back into gaming! :)

I managed to get Day of the tentacle and Maniac Mansion years ago but never found time to play!

As for the others I have only played Gobliiins on my old 486 15-17 years ago! and it is amazing. I also remember a game called Blue (point and click too) and it was hard but good :)
I have never managed to get any Gobliiins game again. The original one still sits on one of my old HDDs somewhere. I would like to get my hands on it and its sequels some time in the future.

RollCage was too annoying for me, the handling was too quick!
ZeRaW wroteI have never managed to get any Gobliiins game again. The original one still sits on one of my old HDDs somewhere. I would like to get my hands on it and its sequels some time in the future.
I think the first was named Goblins, the second one, Gobliins, the third one Gobliiins (the one I played.)
Kassem wroteis any of you into Football Manager or Championship Manager? My friends at school and I used to be obsessed about Championship Manager!
A close friend of mine spends maybe... 3, 4 hours a day on Football Manager (and Championship manger before it.)
He keeps it running while doing other stuff. I like how the game is cleverly designed to run while other applications, even other games are running.
kareem_nasser wroteDid anyone play Stratosphere?
Or House of the Dead [...] Virtua Cop
Sega rail shooters for the win! Virtua Cop started it all, as part of Sega's Virtua series (played Virtua Tennis?)
Did you ever play... Typing of the Dead? Seriously, check it out on YouTube. Hilarious.
Zeus/Emperor are one of my favorite games ever, I still play Emperor sometimes up to this day :), too bad Caesar IV was not as good as the previous ones :(

Other games i played between 2000 - 2004 include:
Diablo2 and its expansion
Age of empires II and The conquerors,
Rise of nations
C&C Generals
Space Rangers (it was never a famous game due to a poor publishing, but I really suggest you play it if you never did, there is Space rangers II aswell)
Jagged Alliance II (another favorite game of mine, Still waiting for the 3 :( )
The Sims and some of its expansions :P
Freedom Fighters
Majesty: The Northern Expansion

Football Manager is amazing, the most life sucking game you will ever see.
