Listen, First of all goto About and check for me the Carrier, second I want to know if you tried to reset your network settings if you did you should not see in Carrier: Carrier 8.0
If you installed the facetime hacktivation fix from iphoneislam, just remove it.
Install from Cydia TetherMe (From the iphonespotrepo) this should restore the carrier to 8.0 and the apn settings will show up in Cellular Data Network and the factime option should be visible in Phone, Try to activate the facetime while ur connected to wifi.. That's what I did..

My iPhone is locked to AT&T and unlocked using Ultrasn0w, it's working alright with Alfa. My carrier is set to AT&T 8.0

Samer, My iphone also from AT&T, unlocked with ultrasn0w, just follow what I have wrote earlier and go with the steps it should work.. Ur carrier should change to 8.0 not AT&T 8.0

Just to let you know guys, a friend of mine got a fixed line with alfa, he succeeded to activate facetime :D greets....

The carrier is still set to AT&T 8.0, even though I reset the network settings and installed TetherMe.

My brother's iPhone is an American phone and Facetime works on it. He just connected the phone to Wi-Fi and turned it on. A minute or so later, it worked.

FaceTime didn't work for me as an alfa user. However, i put my friend's number which is also alfa, and it activated instantly. I put my alfa number in her activated phone and it did not activate. Which means my number is kinda blocked. Why oh why

Hey guys.. I've been away from the forum for a while.. I came across this thread on Google while trying to find a solution.
I've been having the same issue for the past 4 month... FaceTime doesn't activate on my phone.
I'm curious as to which numbers are activation and which are not.
I tried with the following Alfa numbers:
03 3xxxxx activates without issue
02 5xxxxx activates without issue
71 6xxxxx activates without issue
70 4xxxxx does not activate at all...
I get an sms delivery report, then it gets stuck on "Waiting for Activation" just never activates.... I called alfa tech support multiple times without result...
I want to check if it's due to the zero in 70 being considered as a leading zero by the activation server and getting dropped in the reply sms...
Anyways, if you guys could share the first few digits of the numbers that activate or not, I would really appreciate it.

Edit: I have a Canadian factory unlocked iPhone 4, running iOS 4.2.1, Baseband 03.10.01, Carrier 9.0, Jailbroken using GreenPois0n. I tried before jailbreak, after jailbreak, and I even tried to restore the phone... Nothing works for me.

Change your number to : 96170... or +96170...
Ah sry i thought your MTC, didn't pay attention about Alfa.
because on MTC, the facetime might not work unless you write the phone number with the zip code.
