Cameras are monitored in some places only. And I am sure I was robbed. Can't be 80% of orders coming from China and Netherlands and Hong Kong and London end up being robbed. How can I get proof from the lebanese customs, they are not crazy to give me real footage. The customs are knows to be corrupted and their corruption was already investigated in by aljadeed and the TV crew got beaten up for doing that, if you guys recall. And they did it on camera too. They didn't care.
Been ordering from Ali express since over a year, probably over 200 hundred items so far.

I got them all, nothing went missing yet... Few were slightly broken or not working correctly, but i got them nonetheless.
Can someone explain for me the procedure to buy from aliexpress from signing up to buying stuffs and shipping them?do I include my home address? how much time does it take to ship items? reliability of the service? costs of shipping?
thanks in advance.

Signing up: if you signed up here it should be a piece of cake to succeed a sign up there.
Buying stuff: search and pick best your best choice and add to cart.
Address: full home address and phone number.
Time to arrive: they say 15-60. But due to customs in Lebanese airport, it takes about 25-90+ according to experience and what people are saying on lebgeeks.
Reliability: aliexpress's support makes the service pretty reliable. But when it comes to the seller, make sure to pick one with a good reputation, meaning he has to have a positive buyer feedback of 93% and above.
Costs of shipping: you can choose the items that have free shipping, others might have a a shipping cost. Use the search filter "free shipping" if you want.

My Parcel that has been shipped via yanwein post has finally reached me today after it has been in Lebanon airport on 02/12/2014 according to their site. it took more than 3 months to reach me, better we all contact the supplier and check the shipping method he uses before we make any order.
why did you wait so much time before opening a dispute, isn't the buyers protection deadline a maximum of two months?
my buyer protection ends in 25 days i'm going to wait 10 days if it didn' arrive i'll open a dispute( also my order shipped with yanwen)

By the way A.L. You don't have to open a dispute when these two months end. Because almost all orders sleep in the Lebanese customs for several weeks, a dispute hurts the seller when in fact the product is being stalled here in the customs. All you have to do is whenever you feel purchase protection is running out, ask from seller to extend purchase protection by say 10, 30 or 70 days. Within two days or less he will extend it. And you can make sure and check the order then, and you will see the deadline is no longer in 5 days but 75, for example.
I personally open lots of disputes, but for different reasons, not having to do with the stalling here. I open them when I receive less than what I had ordered, or when the seller gives me a fake tracking number tracked by a fake website.
Also forgot to mention. In early January i had ordered 40 orders. 5 of which were Yanwen shipped. I received the 35 orders fine within 2 months max. Only the 5 Yanwen orders weren't delivered. 2 days ago I started receiving them, 4 together, now waiting for the 5th. Yanwens take apparently much more time in the airport.
i think yanwen's tracking system is fake and on that bases I'm going to open a dispute, there is no way my order could have been processed shipped and got to the airport from china in only 5 days .
I assure you I received 4 out of 5. If you are using yanwen's official website, yes it can be fast sometimes. But if they gave you a fake website to track their fake tracking number, then go ahead knock them out. One order of mine only was shipped that fast, my excitement didn't last long though, it was a turn off that it slept for 2 months in the customs. I received it a few days ago.
None of the seller accepted date extension more that 15 to 30 days but never 60 or 70. Yanwen or other shipper than the standard known shipper like china or sweden or Hk are not recognizable by liban post tracking system..I have ordered 3 items and 1 i have received but the remaining didn't get them yet and the seller can no more extend because permission to do so is limited .. so i got paid back..But if i receive them in the future i will contact the sellers and pay them ..

Anyone knows how much time it would take for shipped item to arrive to Lebanon, its in transit and left the airport since 15-3.

i've received two orders today both of them took exactly two month to arrive. and on average it's taking two weeks for any order to get cleared by the lebanese customs.
PS: one of those orders was shipped with YANWEN, apparently it's just like regular mail.

Today I received a 2$ car charger I ordered 6 months ago. It was sent directly to my P.O box at Liban Post (I didn't have to check it out at the main desk). Good thing I only paid 2$ for it because it was smashed into little pieces and there were shoe marks all over the package.

Thanks Lebanese customs for your professionalism, bterfa3olna rasna.

I also have a multimeter from Aliexpress which has been stuck at customs since 11 days, hope they don't use it as a door mat as well.
I stopped ordering from Aliexpress long time ago, trust me you should do that too.
I was planning on dropping 50$ on a dash cam, but after this incident no way in hell am I going to order anything from Aliexpress.

Are there any alternatives?
I usually order from Amazon, i know it's more expensive, but at least you get a value for what you are paying for, you get people speaking normal english, you get "real" reviews not fake posts, and you can receive your order within 1 week, not 6 months.
There is a debate between BorderLynx (DHL) and ShopandShip (Aramex), i personally use BorderLynx, they are fine.
there is a website called Banggood.com , the delivery is relatively faster than aliexpress, but still you'll wait for about a month, they have a very good support, you can live chat with them and they are very helpful. I think your problem here is not with the website but with the lebanese customs.
PS: sometimes you get lucky with aliexpress, I ordered a 7 $ screen protetor within 24 hours it was processed and another 24 hours it shipped and i got a valid tracking number.
