Paranoid ? Really ? Why not have the best of all worlds ? Try XenonHD ... Me n LifeEngineer both got it n it's the best out there with features from PA, AOKP, CM10.1 and more ...

Let me know :P
I tried quite a few roms. Didnt wanna stray far from stock as i have noticed it is the smoothest out there. Offcourse thats brcause the clock speed is agrrssive and it doesnt have to scale like in other roms with custon lernels. I wanted a rom that can give me a full screen experience with stock smoothness and paranoid android did that before i could try some other roms. Pac man was on the list as well.

Dude, what I highly recommend, seeing that you prefer Stock look, is to stay as far away from "Android Development" section since those mean mostly built on unofficial builds of AOSP or stock.

Just stay inside "Original Android Development" section, coz all ROMs in there are built on the device's official firmware. And do try XenonHD it is just amazing ! Developer just released an app that will backup all the ROM's settings, so you needn't worry about having to do all the setting up all over again. Just backup and restore done !

Anyway have fun :P

I agree, it is a nice ROM that merges 3 ROMs.

But I have to disagree, as well, since the developer of PacMan just merged the 3 ROMs. Plus, it is built on an "Unofficial" build of Android. By "Unofficial", I mean to the Nexus 4. It's using a build not made for the device, but rather a separate build. Heck, all 3 ROMs were not meant for the Nexus 4.

I am skeptical about using something that wasn't built using my device's Official base. I have tried PacMan and every single ROM under the "Android Development" section, only every time I did, I felt the laggy after effect. Either that or something was broken. And to solve the rather annoying lagginess, I had to resort to a Kernel.

But since leaving that section, and going into the "Original Android Development" section, and trying ROMs from there, which were all built on the device's Official base, I have been a happy camper.

On another note, I am not going to recommend another ROM, simply because what I like might not be something that you may like. We all are different, and have different needs.

Finally, am not saying all the ROMs under the "Android Development" section are bad, but I'd be very careful if I were you. Also, am just stating my opinion, and shouldn't be taken literally.

But thanks for the recommendation "bosspolo"

To be perfectly honest I got no idea what this ROM is doing under that section, because as you said it's built upon CM10.1 which in and on itself is NOT an Original Nexus 4 base...

Nevertheless ok. Will have to dig deeper into it. As for me, I have been using XenonHD for quite a while. It's an Original ROM. Unique too. And yes, it did pick up a few features from CM10.1, AOKP and PA. But the developer has cherry picked them, meaning, he did not just add all features from those 3 ROMs, just added a few useful ones, then added his own on top, making it one heck of a Stable and very useable ROM. Plus it's built on the Original Nexus 4 base, which is AOSP, not CM10.1.

Anyway, glad you like the Nexus. ;)

Hello. This may be a bit off topic. I am thinking of getting a nexus 4 after the price cut in the US. I started thinking about telling a friend over in Canada to order one to his house over there and then send it by shipping. however i am concerned if i will pay extra customs and taxes in Lebanon other than the shipping fees. thank you.
If you ship it through express shipping, it is confirmed that you will pay around $100 or greater (not sure exactly how much), part for the shipping service to clear it, and part as customs for the communications device to be authorized. So watch out.

Not sure how other shipping services would work out.
In your opinion, do you think it is still wise to get a Nexus 4 knowing that Nexus 5 is going to be released next month? The problem is that once the Nexus 5 is released, the Nexus 4 will be taken out of GooglePlay which is exclusively offering the Nexus 4 for 249$ for the 16GB model.

To Nexus 4 users,

1- Is it possible to mute the sound of the camera's shutter?
2- Is it possible to "touch capture" (TAKING (not just focusing) pics by just pressing on ANY area of the screen) pics?

Thank you very much for the tips!
It is illegal in some countries to take a photo of someone without him knowing, that is why the shutter,
you can simply turn the volume down before taking a pic I think that turns the shutter sound off. For touch capture, no it is not possibe in the stock camera app, you can always install a custom rom, or if you do not want you need to root your stock rom and change the camera app to -for example, the camera app from paranoid android which has those options ...

No it doesn't.

well I think it does, there is a whole hack based on this, when you turn the phone volume down i.e. silent mode, the shutter sound will be off, and the hack is with tasker whenever you enter the cam it puts the phone in silent whenever you exit it returns it back to normal.

You're right, it's called Spy Camera Open Source. But weird enough putting my note 2 in silent mode didn't mute the sound.
I don't know about nexus 4 though.
Are ther apps that allow me to mute the shutter and touch capture photos?

thegodfatherdany wroteIs there any NExus 4 16gb for sale ? thanks.
Bro I saw your message but to be honest I gave it to my brother.

Just a friendly advice, buy a new one if you can! It's a beautiful device and cost just about 350$ new so it's not worth it to buy it for, say 250 to 300$ used!

Same advice here. Don't buy a used one. Better go for a new one it's fairly cheap. I am waiting for my Nexus 5 to arrive still. 3 weeks or so from now. Hopefully.

Cheers
