So , are you sure that they wont give me the PPPOE username and password ?
Not even if i call them ?
I Wouldnt want to make all that trip to the Central , and then, after 2 weeks, go again to take it .
Guys, can anyone else give us an assurance on this subject ?
DNA
prince is right it is impossible to get your pppoe credentials over the phone, the first time you subscribe you should take the router to Mina alhosn.
you can get them from your router after it has been configured.

But will it work if i didnt give them my router at all ? Like without them configuring my router with my proper L number and pass.
By just simply plugging the router to the wall after my DSL is ready .
I doubt it .
DNA
you will have a DSL connection but without the internet, stop thinking about it just go hand them the router and you are done

I just came from ogero menat el hosn. I gave them the modem they told me it will take a week maybe less and they will call. what I dont know is when will they do the installation at home, they didn't tell me anything.
AVOlio
@ramnesia why didn't you say anything that you are going there?
we could have went together, I don't even know how to get there.
Can you tell me how to get there, which bus you took etc... And where do you live exactly.
Ramnesia
I am really sorry I didnt think of that. look what happend to me, I looked for ogero menet el hosn on google maps , it pin point it for me and found it is close to downtown.
I am always on an am shift at work and it is in downtown so yesterday I bring the modem to work and took a break and went on walking, took me 20 min one way.
ogero menet el hosn is very close to hotel pheonecia it's easy to find.
as for what bus number I really don't know.
I live in achrafieh.
what do you want me to do? do you want me to give you the google maps coordination? do you want me to meet you in downtown and we go?
AVOlio
I think i got it ..
If i go to "ساحة الشهداء", where should i continue from there?
I think Hotel Phoenicia is close, from there, isnt it?

I doubt Google has servers in Lebanon. To be sure, run a
traceroute.

you go to martyrs square then you ll take the road leading to beirut souks, it starts with alnahar building. its a long straight road at the end you turn left(passing 7 right turns) you will see a building with a long antena on top. that is ogero.
AVOlio
Ah thanks man.
So you mean, i have to go and pass 7 turns (Mafra2's) after Al nahar, and then turn left?
Ill be doing fine with walking from the square , right?
Ramnesia
yes that's what I mean. it will be completely fine from there.
AVOlio
Thanks again @Ramnesia.
Just a few Last things.
-What did you take to them? The modem and and DSL application paper. Do they require other paperwork like ID or stuff like that.
-Did they charge you anything, if not, will they charge you when its done?
And to answer your first question about when they will call you to come and install everything in your home, thats not related to Mena al Hosn central, its related to which central you applied for. The guy told me @Jdeideh they will call in about 20 days or so.
Ramnesia
you are welcome.
i took the whole modem box and the application paper, they just took the modem and gave me another paper called "Request Detail".
they didn't need any ID and they didn't charge me for anything i don't think they will charge you when it is done.
i asked about the modem password if i can have it, he said he will assign a WPA2 password and if i don't like it i can call ogero to change it. That's is so weird.
i remember Sassine CO told me 10 days for them to install it.
ramy58
They told me 1 week. Let's hope they're not gonna take much time.
