Pretty bad, but must say upload is great here.
FUCK

Now, give me that ping time with a touch more speed (x4) and I won't have as many complaints.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1453511769.png , trade speed for ping ? ^^

I think you're connected to the new lines but with old speed, this ping is sick man. Where do you live?

Aramoun area, which is why I am surprised.
Does the ping correspond to real-time internet performance ? Have you tried online gaming, for example ?
Because sometimes, i used to get a 100-ish ping which didn't quite reflect on a laggy and spiky online gaming performance.
Ogero's ping is worse.
I used to have 117ms to bbc.co.uk ... it's now 150ms.
Plus I am getting "dead" internet every day. I mean all the modem lights stay ON ... the modem logs don't register any disconnection at all... but the connection dies for around 30 secs (as if Ogero was switching routes) and then resumes by itself.

I am with Ogero. Although not gaming related, I have noticed at times that streaming videos load up quicker and are much nearer to real time than before (watch a football game and stream it online and check the difference). But, I agree with you. I sometimes feel that the internet is sluggish despite getting a decent ping and speed. This ping was to a specific server and if there is any congestion other servers in other places, it won't reflected in this test. I also have the same issue as DG--there is no specific ryhme or reason I lose connectivity for a bit an then it comes back. I thought it was my computer for a while until my android phone stopped responding also.
@xazbrat , you're in Aramoun and you're Central is khalde ??
Because the khalde central was implemented with fiber optics infrastructure !

Mmm interesting, because I live next to Bir Hassan Central and my ping is in the 150-200ms range.
Care to share your Real IP range ? ie. 70.x.x.x 94.x.x.x etc...
All of you, expect less than 50ms ping when you're connected to fiber optics. But this will take time.

I can't get it, the ping from host to DSLAM over ADSL is in the range of 50-70ms over phone line. I don't think that will change anyway unless we get separate connection over ethernet cables.

I live in bchamoon, and im on the same central Khaldeh. I have yet to test my ping. Please state your source for the fiber optics implications in the khaldeh central.

Same thing happening to me in the past 3 days or so. Ping was great, now not so good i.e. like before.
Also here are my tests:
256kb/s Ogero connection.

if you were testing this on your iPhone there's a proven bug that the ping is Definitely wrong
Something screwy going on around here.

Ogero 512 connection
and for those who asked it is a 94.xxx.xxx.xx IP address.
Over DSL and 2000mi+ away server = Something is really wrong...
Can you post traceroute to google ? like tracert -d www.google.com ?
thanks...
Ogero 512 @ 8.43 pm Beirut timing:
by the way, some one on facebook said that he's experiencing a new ip address range with Sodetel and it begins with the 94.xxx.xxx.xxx !!!
That happened 3 ~ 4 days ago and it may be related to the IMEWE

Here you go
Tracing route to www.l.google.com [209.85.148.99]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.14.1
2 4 ms 3 ms 3 ms 192.168.1.1
3 43 ms 45 ms 43 ms 77.42.129.94
4 252 ms 246 ms 43 ms 77.42.129.20
5 47 ms 82 ms 44 ms 192.168.111.2
6 192 ms 367 ms 193 ms 12.118.94.93
7 194 ms 382 ms 192 ms 12.122.131.166
8 193 ms 191 ms 193 ms 12.122.105.49
9 197 ms 190 ms 197 ms 12.122.131.81
10 238 ms 239 ms 238 ms 12.249.162.6
11 197 ms 192 ms 189 ms 72.14.239.46
12 190 ms 193 ms 199 ms 209.85.251.37
13 227 ms 192 ms 195 ms 216.239.46.219
14 194 ms 193 ms 190 ms 72.14.233.105
15 191 ms 189 ms 191 ms 72.14.239.63
16 194 ms 206 ms 202 ms 209.85.254.57
17 192 ms 196 ms 191 ms 209.85.148.99
You can't have an HTTP ping of 32ms and you are lagging 45 ms to DSLAM
I'd say something is buggy in the speedtest java thing... I would run the test on pingtest.net to confirm..
