I guess I'm one of the few that have noticed no improvement at all whatsoever. In fact, it seems it is getting worse. I think it depends a lot more on the central rather than the ISP.

^^ vengeance666 I'm behind a reseller, it's just a 256K plan. Btw are you experiencing some disastrous browsing at the moment?
i'm behind a reseller and with 256k package :\
i wasn't "browsing" , but i was trying to stream some youtube , it took about 4 minutes to stream 20 seconds if that's what you mean
tested on my Nexus S,off peak (@ 12 AM),i was surprised by the download speed
from my phone
I get higher pings on it for whatever reason--upload speed is actually greater than advertised
If you have 512k plan then your upload should be 128k but i have the same plan yet never reached more than 90k in upload. About 3 days ago i was testing my internet as usual but after midnight and my upload was over 200k, which how it should be after 8 pm because the connection speeds double.

The "nice" speeds (high upload) are at AUB
The "bad" ones are at home, supposed to be 512k
- Tests were done with my mobile phone
This one is at AUB, on my laptop (now) :)
and at that time? that's great
Peter I never got this high speed, 2.5 Mbps MAX with a file download, just once, in SRB labs near the network servers. You got 4 Mbps on your laptop ! Can it be a sign they are actually benefiting from the IMEWE ?
Note: "Faster then 99% of LB". Not so hard to believe !

nah it was like that from before. you can get speeds of up to 10 Mbps in the morning like 6 am and at around 8 pm sundays. and somewhat 5 Mbps in the afternoon if you are really lucky
This is the best latency that I get ever when pinging to bbc.net.uk

tracert bbc.co.uk please bilal

Bilal, i think it is the CADMOS one, because of this node (.....paris1.level3.net)
There's like an extra 41ms delay just for the first hop between my 512K DSL and your HDSL Bilal.
I must say I am surprised...
Wizard, look at the first hope after the gatway, it seems that bilal lives in Ogero building ;)

LooL, BTW this is at the company I work.
I will test on my Ogero 512 DSL connection when I get back to home.
I have to admit, I have noticed a 20%~30% improvement in my ping in online games. I can use aimbot hack for the first time!(previously it didn't work because the high ping meant that other players where in a different position than where I'm seeing them)
I'm with Ogero btw.

Have fun cheating, dude! Previously you used to try to shoot them, now why bother?

Who the hell is this ISP? Speedtest.net shows that I'm located in London!
P.S. I'm with Ogero
I get that too--whenever I reboot my modem, I go to http://www.wunderground.com/ . If it doesn't tell me I am in Beirut, I keep rebooting until I do. I find that my connections on beyond the network america are not very good.
One thing I haven't tried though (due to obvious crappy speeds)) is see if I can play UK specific content like on the Ibbc player. If that happens, I would try to keep my IP address there to play the content. It would not be as good as Hulu, but it's a start and no proxy is needed.
