I cannot format my external HDD

my computer is reading it as a RAW HDD and every time I try to enter it, it says that i should format the HDD and when i try to format it says windows was unable to format and I even tried it on every computer in the house. The thing is that i formatted it using swissknife to FAT32 and now I want  it to go back to NTFS.
the HDD is a Toshiba MK8025GAS 80GB

Re: I cannot format my external HDD

Probably a hardware problem. Try on another machine/system, or/and using a Linux boot CD (like Ubuntu).

Re: I cannot format my external HDD

This is my update:I deleted the partition of the HDD and then i used swissknife to format it and it worked but if I try to format using Windows it doesn't work and it becomes a RAW drive but it says in the device manager that it is a healthy drive
