http://www.godaddy.com is probably the cheapest domain name registrar.

What kind of hosting are you looking for? What's your budget?

im trying to make a Lebanese clan for gaming etc and i need to make sure we have our own website and things is getting faster than i thought so i need to purchase my domain name and my server

i've registered a lot of domain, godaddy is quite good. As for hosting, u can easily find a VERY good hosting for like 50 to 60$ a year.

Hostmonster.com. Hosting + free domain name for a year. go to http://www.top10webhosting.com/ and click Monster Host for a promo. It's like $95 for 2 years of hosting.

GoDaddy offers hosting plans. I'm currently using x10Hosting.com which offers very good free hosting (they've recently upgraded their servers and now their services are pretty good). If you want, you can start with a free hosting account (at any reliable host) and then if your site requires the upgrade, purchase a paid hosting plan.

Shared hosting:
- Powweb.com - have been with them for almost a decade. They're great and host as many domain as you want, never had a problem.
- Dreamhost.com - Good reputation - i think they're good.

Domain name:
- name.com looks good

VPS (virtual private server):
- Linode
- slicehost
Those are well known and affordable

Dedicated server:
I doubt you have the budget...

Reseller package:
- Hostgator had something like that.
