I Love This Design!

Hey guys,

Three days ago, I started reading an excellent book about web design and how to create sexy looking websites. In the book, the author links to several websites as examples of good and bad designs. So I thought it's a good idea to post some of those websites that I've liked and others I stumble upon on the web. These would be a great resource for inspiration, and perhaps we could discuss how certain features were implemented...

This can be a useful and nice thread for everyone thanks for staring it. Pertaining to the design you just showed, personally I don't like it much because it looks too messy(ma3jou2a) plus I don't find the font much convenient or appealing to read IMO. I personally prefer neat, clean and modern designs, this one seems more as a piece of art that has a certain taste rather than a decent and comfortable user interface that could be favored by many users.

Here are two that I would prefer personally and are good design inspirations IMO: http://www.amylevypr.com/
http://www.pixelcraft.ie/ simple, clean good looking and straight to the point websites.

@ AymanFarhat: I have to agree, it's kinda messy. But I thought it's kinda creative though. I'd like to know how the top left image was place and blended nicely into the background (absolute positioning?).
The first site you posted is a bit too simplistic... The second one is neat, I liked it.

Checkout the second one I've posted... I'm amazed such a website can be done without Flash. Very well done by the developer(s).

Links 4 and 5 are created by the same web designer (Tyler Finck). I noticed the page does not reload when you click on a link, but it's not Flash! So my first guess would be that he's using AJAX to achieve that. What do you think?
