Re: Google.com fades in

see for your self :)   i may be one of the lucky few who got to experience this

google : Don’t feel bad if you don’t have the new, highly streamlined page — this is apparently part of a Google bucket test, which means only a small subset of users have access to it. It’s entirely possible that the new design will never be released broadly too, so don’t get alarmed if you hate it.

simply i have it you don't

Re: Google.com fades in

it had already been rolled out since at least a month, but it was only working in chrome. it's just now that it started working in other browsers too (at least for me).

Re: Google.com fades in

it's not really dissatisfaction, i think it's more... bleh... enno it's useless. if it was saving data overhead ad reducing the data transfer by not sending the whole page, fine, but we still have to download the whole page PLUS the script to make the effect. so not that much useful.

another more interesting thing that google has released recently is their public DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
people in civilized countries are reporting better response times than using their ISP's DNS servers. And it's just a matter of time till google starts abusing it for advertising, ranking websites, autocorrecting typos in urls, ...

Fading in for me!
Probably the most useless thing Google did since launching Chrome.

Well, guys, It is true, I have finally believed that it DOES fade in, I opened Google on my dad's PC and it faded in in IE and opened Google on my Linux box and it did fade in. Nevertheless, on thisr PC it doesn't regardless of what brower I use. :)

PS. sorry Jad for not believing you

Re: Google.com fades in

It does here too.
Google homepage has become quite refined, with all that.
They have stopped redrawing "Google" though?
