Sony Reveals Efficient Wireless Power Technology

Sony is currently developing a wireless power system so we can get rid of all power cable .
they have announced the success of their first prototype experience.

nice  ,  but the technology has far more to go   :)   and i guess it will be a failure , the future of wireless is dna computers

yeah i've read about it once. but wireless power will be sooner than you expect. sony guys says about 3 year.
as for DNA computers well it may take a while

I like the adlman guy and his dna computers
but i am not betting any penny on dna computers for home use

it will be a really nice breakthrough to manage wireless electricity
but would it still be safe to have other object around like magnetique cards, human body.... how high those voltages are ? implications on health ?

Nikola Tesla  was able to do this using a dangerous way , and he was able to light up a fluorescent lamp , now we all know that if you put a fluorescent lamp in a microwave   it lights up because of the massive flow of electrons . the same principal was done back in time using huge capacitors that fired thousands of volts of electricity  that could not be held in wires so they  escape thru space :) therefor the lamp lights

sony are not using something new, magnetic resonance is used in radiology for imaging in hospitals : MRI .
i think all they did is taking advantage of it and make it commercial .
you know things don't get commercialized directly after discovery or invention.
SDD where first used in 1969 and the first SSD Camecoder was on that day.

yup  wireless tooth brushes have been  using the same technology for ages (for charging proposes when docked).

well GN90 thats right;) but its still cool!   so u think charging AA batteries is as complex as laptop batteries ??:/ and as for the plug in factor, i guess u should do the same about TVs! ;)  its stupid in general now cuz the device is HUGE!!! u gotta admit having a stupid wire is better than tha sony contraption, things will get smaller eventually, but NOT very small ;)

it is still the first prototype ! do you think this is the final version and tomorrow they will release it ?
maybe this receiver will be integrated in the tv itself and we will only need like one emitter (small one) to plug and it will give electricity to all the stuff in the room.

well GN90 stuff go smaller by time (thanks capitalistic freaks wanting to steal or money!!  )  but this think works by magnets ;) nd magnets get RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE wen they come in small packages ;) so as i said, they wont get very small,beacause THEY WONT!!  cuz magnets like these wont get much more powerful nd besides installing hidden cable through your your house is easy nd inexpensive!

yeah i know you are not opposing me, i m enjoying this conv.
if you read my post i did not say that that it will become extremely small. what meant is that they will be one emitter in the room and all receivers will be integrated in the part.
EX: 3years form now we will have OLED TV that are 3mm thick and require less power so making the tv 2cm thick will allow to add this receiver.

nour no offense  but magnets  have nothing to go with  this !!   maybe electromagnetism  , but solid state magnets are worthless in this case !
