to create a custom vcard, just generate a qr code with just text and write the following:
BEGIN:VCARD
N:Samer
Email: example@example.org
Note:lebgeeks.com is so cool
END:VCARD
you would get this:
you can add or remove fields, you just have to find out what's the tag for each field.
otherwise, much simpler, you can just go here and just fill the fields you need: http://www.quickmark.com.tw/En/diy/?qrVCard or http://www.quickmark.com.tw/En/diy/?qrMeCard

the link that battikh gave (quickmark and kaywa) none of them works on a nokia 6300 :(
I was looking forward to experimenting a bit with this

shouldn't any J2ME application work on your nokia 6300?
after it reads the damn thing quickmark just shuts down
which cellphone do you have?
Microsoft has released it's own tagging tihnggie, it can be downloaded from here: http://gettag.mobi/
and to create tags you have to register here: http://tag.microsoft.com/ (a hotmail account will do)
it supports text, links and vcards and has a much smaller size than the other types of tags, so it can easily fit on a business card. one nice thing is that you can also password protect your tag, so when someone scans the tag, he then needs to insert a password to be able to read it. you can also make the tag valid only for a certain period of time, with start and end dates.
here's an example tag for a vcard:
and here's an example for a password protected text, the password is lebgeeks:
btw, should all these posts about the tagging thing be moved to another thread?
[edit]i just realized that the quality of my jpegs was quiet bad, so it might require you to get the closer much closer than usual to decode the tag. when the tag is in good quality, the detection of the tag and its decoding happens almost as soon as it gets in the camera range.[/edit]

^^ mmm, the microsoft tag thing is not that cool afterall... it actually only stores the ID of the data in the tag, not the actual information, and then checks for the data online based on the unique ID. so to be able to decode a tag, your phone MUST be connected to the internet...
it sucks
but the MS could be better for sharing, no ?
u can give your friends the IDs.. and they will get the actual information from the internet, instead of having to send them a pic or something
but i think that is almost a very small advantage ... it must suck if u are disconnected.. but i guess where MS ppl live... they don't have much of that problem or maybe they are working on it for actually a year or 2 from now and they want to build a model for that time
