What's the best way to avoid customs, and If i can't how much do I pay (the console itself is 190$ there) and who do i tell him to ship it with.

Don't send it in retail box/packaged, maybe put some stickers on it, like it is used and etc, so at least he can argue with them it is used and maybe defunct.

Avoid retail package and send it as spare parts.
When I send stuff from Canada to Lebanon, for example old phones for my mom to use, I send them with CanadaPost no tracking numbers and in a random box I have laying around the house. Also make sure to tell the post office worker that it's a return for repair in case they ask, if you say it's a gift and it gets marked as so, you will have to pay customs.
