Hey mates,
i would like to ask you is that how do i know what kind of rams am i using ... How can i know if they are DDR or DDR2 ? Or what are the rams compatible with my pc ? Is there any software ?
Regards & Respect
U can either open up your pc and check. if you don't know how to differentiate between ram types, look at your board's name and google it.
another way is to install some piece of software that gives you the specs of your PC. I use Belarc Advisor, but i'm sure you can find better.
Under Linux: dmidecode, lshw
you can also try some online tools provided by some ram vendors that will scan your system and advise you on what type of ram to install, but they will require an activex installation or the installation of a small software on your pc to do the scan.
try these at your own risk
