Upgrading PS4 HDD

Hello,

Has anyone upgraded their PS4 HDD (in Lebanon)? I'm curious to know as to get an idea of which HDD models you have used, if it worked and how much it did cost.

Thank you,

Re: Upgrading PS4 HDD

I upgraded my hdd to 2TB, but you won't be able to find any internal*** 2.5" hdds. I got an external Seagate hdd (the one made for laptops, only needs 1 Usb 3 cable) and disassembled the cover, then used the hdd inside. It's a Samsung/Seagate M9t, and costs around 100$. You can always use the Ps4's hard disk as an external one in the Seagate's cover.

Model number: STBX2000401

Actually it's this one. You might still find it in many stores around Lebanon, it's cheaper than the slim here and can be easily reassembled.

Here's how to disassemble it, and here's how to upgrade your Ps4's hard drive, just make sure to download the update that's around 1gb on the Sony website.
