Xbox 360 LT3.0 question

Hey all, sorry if this has been asked before but i have a 360E with an rgh chip and i want to play online but i heard you can get banned. I asked the store and he told me he can remove the rgh and flash LT3.0 fw and it will be playable online with no risk of being banned. Is this true? does anyone play on live with his LT3.0 xbox? anyone can confirm? thank you

Yes you can play online used a custom firmware for the dvd ie. LT 3. That, however, does not mean you will not get banned, it will be harder to get banned, RGH is a sure ban, LT 3 is an unlikely. But on the downside you loose the ability to run homebrew apps not authorized by microsoft.
