well... what i meant by the mess is that look at the main page at www.lebgeeks.com
why did you move the blog to carptekno .. and there is nothing on lebgeeks exept the forums

and the forums lacks lot of stuff.. like there are no attachement enabled.. lot of missing stuff.. i don't wanna compare to other forums options .. but let me say it is very modest for being the lebgeeks forum cuz someone would assume that there are some geeks using this forum.. so it should be better

so what i really mean by badely moderated is the lack of lot of stuff as mentioned above and there should be someone who is always posting and stuff .. getting new ppl to join w heik ossas

as for  the "I beg your Pardon" ..i can immagine someone sayin that in a british accent..lool .. makes me laugh
as for using my name online.. i would have  PM you telling to change it... i wouldn't make such a big mess

I only see well organized information about the different projects hosted on lebgeeks on the main page. No mess there.

Simply because the audience I was targeting on the lebgeeks blog wasn't wide enough for me to continue. It wasn't worth it, so I had to widen the niche and start a new blog.

Well, not for long. I have many plans for projects that will be hosted here. Also, if any "lebgeek" wants some hosting space for his tech related project he may host it on LebGeeks for free. I'm kind of making it the sourceforge of lebanese tech related stuff.

uh-oh, rapidshare, yousendit, megaupload, etc. etc. etc. No need for a local upload function that will only expose us to additional security problems.

Modesty, simplicity and minimalism. These were the approaches. Why?
- Connection speed: most of lebanese users have sucky connections. Everyone hates bloated interfaces.
- Aesthetic reasons. I have to admit I tend to adopt these philosophies in most of my work.

What you're saying is, a geek forum should use a bloated forum software that has dozens of features no one will ever use.

I have to point out you are contradicting yourself there. You started saying "LebGeeks is a Mess", then you say "it is too modest".

Oh, bad moderation equals non-bloated/simplistic forum software. :-O

there should be someone who is always posting and stuff ..

It's all about a community developing it. A common effort among all the users.

so what i will do, is keep visiting the forum and post when intrested
hoping to see some more ppl join and more activity on the forums

when u use those features i will add more

Thanks for your support Mir, I really appreciate it.

As for avatars and signatures, they have been available since day one :) (although disabled for only one week since there was an exploit affecting the upload module so I had to disable the avatars till it gets patched). It's too bad you did not noticed those features actually exist here.

Samer, do you have any stats about the number of visitors ..lenght of visits.. location... and heik stuff
stuff like the google adsense
and special stats.. like number of visits per user, who is visiting more..time of visits and heik stuff

maybe it would be helpful if u post some numbers
or if u don't wanna post you can send me an email
i just have the curiosity

Sorry, but i'm really not getting the point anymore :)

Anyway, about the stats, I have never had any success with any package (like AWStats) since none is really accurate. I sent you the numbers by e-mail :)
