Need help: POS printer with .NET

Hi geeks, i going to develop a POS software for a clothes shop, i'm trying to search about several thermal printers but it's very confusing.
my problem is how do i interface the printer from my .NET app and send columns and rows to be printed, and what is an OPOS driver ?

Note: i'm not asking about codes, all i need is the first step of how to connect the voucher printer to my app and start interfacing it.
