Re: Lebanese GNU/Linux Users Group APRIL meeting

couple of subject that were proposed for discussion on the list :

1- motivation and why (most) Lebanese groups dont have enough of it
2- netfilter's limitation(s) in handling thousands of concurrent connections
3- why we always follow and never lead (general information technology
and computer science discussion)
4- real world experience with realtime high-availability services
5- extending the C language (or linking against a special library) to
allow reflection and the impact this would have on both speed and
memory usage
6- application streaming and what methods currently exist to centralize
and control it on Linux / Unix
7- moving an application from using RAM as its data layer to a memory
bound database that allowz for failover and better data persistence
across the application's lifetime

8-  Linux teaching experiances. Debian Sarge in two levels.
9- ask ourselves: How big companies are building a profitable buissiness
from the open source theory.
10- Linux effect in a WLAN in saida city.
11- How can we make use of the anti-piracy campain done by /Microsoft
/thru using Linux (this is thier Logo, italic, like Pisa tower, LOL)
currently with respect to registered compaies in Lebanon. Can we make
anti-campain?
12- Writing a detailed guide about traffic shaping.

some subject are intresting as for me i am highly highly intrested in
7 (moving an application from using RAM as its data layer to a memory..)
11 How can we make use of the anti-piracy campain done by /Microsoft
3 always folllow , never lead
4 real world experience with realtime high-availability services (i would like to hear some real work experience on those systems as i don't have one)

Hope it wil turn to be a good meeting
if i can't make it, hope i can still get a detailed resume on it
