It's a technique to solve big problems by dividing it into smaller ones. But with dynamic programming you only solve each smaller problem once. You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_programming. Or wait till the video comes out. Probably in a couple of weeks. I've done good progress on them already, but polishing them and uploading hundreds of megabytes will take some time.
