Hi
I'm doing a website for the university music club. Here are some sections I plan to create:
-News
-Forums
-Photo albums
-MP3 storage (members can upload MP3s and videos)
-Member and band profiles
-events calendar (optional)
Now I know what to use for the forums, but for the rest, do you have any PHP scripts to recommend me?
Finally do you have any idea how to integrate all this with a single login? I can write this part myself, but it'll be better if there's something already done, of course.
I'll do a research on all this later, but if you have any advice or experience on this it is appreciated!
Thanks.
check out some of the cms's on the web, I mean i personally like e107 over all the others http://www.e107.org check it out
thanks yeah I will
if you want something premade, there's MAMBO - but its better to create your own custom scripts.
You were faster Samer, I recomend Mambo too :)
Actually i wouldn't recommend mambo. Recently the mambo team of developers left the mambo project because of a problem with Miro, the company that owns mambo. The developers went on and founded joomla (http://www.joomla.org) Which is basically mambo but it will continue to be developed and improved.
Edit: Typos.

PHP-Nuke is a famous portal application and its free. Also check this list it might be helpful: http://www.hotscripts.com/search/9106648.html
Thanks :) havent's started working on this yet
But thanks for the info anyway.
php-nuke is nice but the problem is that it is used too much thus more vulns are published and more potential attacks are targeted at your website.
I ran into this CMS system... I like the looks and since im often running into Zope stuff on the net I thought this must be good and installed it on my pc just to see.
So far it looks really great and very professional and high quality.
The editing interface is also nice, color coded, with clean drop down menus and tabs that look like those of wikipeidia.
I dont think i'm gonna use it though, a CMS sounds like overkill for me but just thought that i could share.
