I want to downgrade my S2 I9100 back to 2.3.6

Hi . I updated my samsung galaxy S2 19100 to 4.1.2 ,but I didn't like it so I want to go back to 2.3.6.

1) Where can I find the correct firmware for my cell ?

2) I am afraid that I might lose my cell , is it that risky ?

Thank you .

I'm with yasamoka on this one, 4.0 was not really that much of an update and sometimes really buggy but 4.1.2 is the best rom for s2 and by quite a margin, why you hate it?

Re: I want to downgrade my S2 I9100 back to 2.3.6

2.3.6 is crap in terms of performance and everything else.  4.0 was when Android really started to be worth something, and 4.1 jellybean made it epic of an experience and performance. What's the thing you don't like exactly? Android is 100% customizable. If you're getting crappie battery life and performance, consider wiping the phone by going into recovery mode (by holding down the volume up + menu + power button, and releasing the power button when it turns on while keeping the other buttons pressed) use the volume keys and menu button for navigation and choose wipe data/factory reset.

Re: I want to downgrade my S2 I9100 back to 2.3.6

use  the following website to get your firmwares.

http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/

These are the official ones released by samsung.

As long as you flash the right firmware for your phone you will not have a problem. (Beware for the G and not G s2 models)

Are you downgrading so some sort of application works?
