Google Chrome Memory Leak

Hi everyone, over the past few days I've noticed that Google Chrome is eating up every single bit of RAM I have installed in my laptop. This wasn't the case before, so I'm suspecting a recent update has caused this issue? I just need to confirm it's a Chrome issue and not something wrong with the instance of Chrome that is installed on my machine. So has anyone noticed anything of the sort as well?

Re: Google Chrome Memory Leak

chrome uses a lot of cpu, and it runs in background even when you close it, you can see that from the task manager, it's the heaviest browser out there and it causes many many problems on my  old windows xp, but you're problem may be caused by the extensions or apps that you have installed, so:

whats your os?
do you have any apps or extensions installed? speed dials? some speed dials are so bad, google drive? anything?

Re: Google Chrome Memory Leak

Apparently you are right. I stopped the extensions installed in Chrome and the process size went from ~900MB down to ~200MB.
