games on widescreen

I play games that don't have a wide screen option on my notebook at 1024x768 - the image going to be stretched horizontally to fill the screen .
i need a solution...

play it without it being widescreen? I mean that's what I do on my notebook and after a while you kind of ignore the empty black space on the sides

there are no black spaces it stretches across the screen

check the video settings of the game and have it a set resolution so that it doesn't stretch

don;t play full-screen ... play windowed
