here's a tip by Kevin Gunn to help you track down which websites are using your e-mail and sharing it with thrid-parties.
Let’s say you need to sign up for a mailing list that interests you, but you’re afraid spammers might get your address. We’ll call the list “exoticflowers”. Sign up with the list using the address “johndoe+exoticflowers@gmail.com”. Email to that address will still come to your “johndoe@gmail.com” address even though the “To:” will include that “+exoticflowers” in it.
you could then create a filter to shuttle +exoticflowers email past the inbox to a specific label.
Cool tip.
Thanks for sharing it Samer :)
nice but won't this mean if spammers get the email they will still spam you
cool, thanks
yeah as mahdoum said, spammers still get the email so better not sign up at all.
the idea is to track them down :) - you can blacklist the +spamtaghere.
