A low power fanless x86 machine???

I am planing to set up a Linux router (using IPCop or pfSense).

What I need is an x86 based machine with the following specification:

-Low power consumption (less than 20 watts).

-Totally fanless, even with no case fans.

-With at least two Ethernet ports (whether embedded or network cards, no problem)

-Cheap (less than 200 $)

Here are some solution I found after a quick internet search:

-ALIX boards (http://www.pcengines.ch/alix.htm) (some of them are exactly what I want).

-fit-PC2i (http://www.fit-pc.com/web/fit-pc2/fit-p … fications/) (exactly what I need, but it costs at least 300$, and I do not think that I will find it in Lebanon because it is made in Israel).

-Via embedded boards (http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/embedded/boards/) (so many types, some  of them are what I need).

Now you got the idea... I can continue searching on the Internet... but before, I would like to ask if there any such products in Lebanon???

Hmmm... some older Pentium II (and maybe P3?) machines could work without a fan on the CPU, given the proper radiator and case cooling... would that help? I think you could get  your hands on some of these old machines.

Thanks for your reply!

Those Pentium CPUs consumes about 20-30 watts alone (without the motherboard), and they need case cooling... I would like to have an x86 machine that consumes as low as 5 watts! (20 watt is the maximum, which I consider too high). I also want it to be completely noiseless, so fans are not welcomed!

Linutop is similar to fit-PC2i (http://www.fit-pc.com/web/fit-pc2/fit-p … fications/), but unlike fit-PC2i, it have only one Ethernet port.

Re: A low power fanless x86 machine???

In this thread (http://www.lebgeeks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=6616), member AymanFarhat posted about some low power x86 boards.

Similar boards with dual Ethernet ports (such as ALIX boards: http://www.pcengines.ch/alix.htm), are very suitable to work as a Linux router.

I guess that none of these will be found in Lebanon :(
