HDD clicking noise.

Hi guys, ok this is a hard one.

On my Imac, the HDD sound is louder on OSx than on Win7.

On osx I can hear the HDD noise ( clicking/scratching) when it's not idle or something is accessing the drive...

On win7 even with chkdsk or defrag, the drive is virtually silent. It has been the case since day 1.

Disk utility reports that the HDD is healthy and no prob founds, no bad sectors etc.. I read that too many Imac users are getting this problem but nobody mentioned anything regarding win7 maybe because they dont dual boot.

Is it that NTFS is better than HFS+ ?

No idea about this particular problem, but maybe that's another reasons to let OSx go.

Haha. Just teasing you !
