Re: lebanonuncut.com

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't given an explanation. I've been so damn busy with trying to get my other sites online.

The horrible host I was on had a fire or some crap. So they lost all the information, including all their backups.
Of course I myself never got a chance to making a database backup, otherwise the site would've been online within a week.

So right now I'm clueless on what to do. Seeing as most of my pictures are gone.
I only have around 50 pictures left which won't make the site last long (as I have moved away from Lebanon).

If you have any ideas or suggestions. I'm ready for anything.

Re: lebanonuncut.com

1- find a new host, (i can help you with that)
2- check out if waybackmachine is of any help
3- use google cache to restore articles
4- contact your sources to regather the materials
5- never trust another person with your backup!

Re: lebanonuncut.com

I got a new host. I knew the last one sucked...I was switching to a new one at the end of this month.
Just didn't get time to get to lebanonuncut.

Google cache and other sites don't cache images unfortunately.
Sources? It was all me :S

And the cached pages aren't all that common. The site wasn't online and popular enough to get hit by those spiders unfortunately.

If you're the source, then what happened to the photos? Did you delete them after uploading?
If so, scan your hard disk with a recovery software (rstudio...?) you might be able to retrieve some.

Re: lebanonuncut.com

The photos were deleted one by one as I uploaded them (the new ones).
The old ones I still have of course.

I've put together something quick right now to get things up and rolling.
I just put all 102 pictures that I had still on there.

The editorial (THE LIST) will soon follow.
