Well back overseas there was a rule that you can't wear white clothes after labor day.
Basically it comes from way back old english days when the peasants and the upper class rich people in castles were separated.

Whenever a peasant moved up in class, he got a guideline book and one of the rules was not wearing white after labor day. It was a class thing, then that moved on to not wearing white after labor day because white reflects the sunlight and you feel cold when you're supposed to feel warm (labor day = climate change). So they made it a taboo to wear it for that reason.

So I guess it doesn't apply here :)

In Dukes of Hazzard (the new one) the guy is sitting in jail and he knocks someone out for $100, then as he walks away he says "you're not supposed to wear white after labor day." (the guy is wearing a full white suit).

well i spent my labor day doing inventory for my shop more than a 1000 items had to be counted for and cataloged
basically i worked 20 hours non stop( not including lunch break)
