Gimp

HI guys

is anyone using Gimp ? anyone has some experience with it
well i found it quite nice.. starting to get more used to it

but there is something i am trying to do. and i just can't find the correct sentence to google

when i open image for editing there is the image, the dialogs i open and gimp dialog
if i put them always on top.. that causes me trouble with doing other things
and it is really anoying when they get minimized i have to restore different dialogs and such
i want a way to make them all compact together.. the image becomes somehow the main form and the other dialogs are within it
i took quick look at preferences and such.. but couldn't find it
- hope u got what i mean -
so help appreciated
