After reviewing few ratings on russian website.

Cellular phone expenses
Lebanon is N23, more expensive than in Kuwait, France, Japan, Norway, Greece, Tajikistan and etc.
On predefined amount of talk minutes, SMS and etc it costs to testers 20$

Neigbours:
Syria - N102 place, 9.91$
Cyprus - N167, $3.89
Turkey, N71, $12.57
Jordan, N136, $6.71

Cheapest one is Venezuela and Sri-Lanka, 1.17$

In 2007 most pirate country was Armenia, Azerbaidzhan, Moldova and Zimbabve. Lebanon not in top30 list.

I read yesterday that Etisalat, the emarati company is going to acquire either alfa or mtc touch very soon for approx. 7 billion dollars. I hope it is going to have a positive effect on the rates. You may read the article here : Link

I don't know how they rate them, but the pirate scene here is evolving but most of the stuff is imported and sold here.

well i am glad lebanon is not rated among the top 30 pirate countries.. kinda improves the image of our country

More and more places selling pirated stuff here. For example, a whole town is now known for having dozens of dvd shops (1,500LL to 2,000LL).
Most of the DVDs are imported from Syria and are produced by " King DVD ".

i thought u meant something about ppl actually doing the cracks not importing them  - underground w ossas -

the syrian guys do it themselves or also get it from somewhere ?

I think they do them themselves, as most of the subtitles are arabic-only.

they do the packing themselves yeah, but not the cracking.
as for the DVD, they get the original release and append the translation.
i dont really respect their work. just my opinion tho.
what other strive to give out for free, they modify to make some big $$ out of it .... and i wonder.

but i find it quite fair
ano 1500.. 7a2 l DVD .. wl 3ilbeh... w if u wanted to download it will cost u more...w u save time
