Monitoring upload/download

Hey guys

Is there anyway I can monitor uploads and downloads that occur in a small home network and the internet? I just want basics how much is being downloaded and how much is being uploaded... The network is conntected by a wireless router/adsl modem (Linksys WAG54GX2).
The reason I would like this is I think an ISP is adding adding downloads and uploads onto my account...

Thanks

Re: Monitoring upload/download

I know how to do it on a linux router, but not on the linksis.
Maybe you can install a download monitor on each computer then add the numbers.

Re: Monitoring upload/download

As far as I know, this router of Linksys supports SNMP.

So, nothing easier than that. Use cacti, mrtg, solarwinds or whatever to collect the In/Out interface counters via SNMP polling and that is.

SNMP is the universal method to do it. If you know how to do it on Linksys, then you can do it on Cisco, Juniper,Allied Telesyn and so on  :)
