MSN Crashed

Patrick, a person I know (who is also a member here under the same username and used to be Lord Patrick on lebbands) was able to crash my msn application twice today, while I was booted on Win XP.

No 0day exploit or whatever, just the good old "emoticon flood" glitch. He says "his friend" sent him a script that did this (hint: script kiddie), which isn't hard to do.

He ran and posted a topic here naming it " samer got owned " which I had to remove to avoid misinformation ; now, patrick, i did not get owned :) getting owned is like getting rooted or something (or beaten at a game). But good job on flooding like a lamer.

Anyway, I wrote a quickfix to this problem. It's a simple msgplus script that automatically blocks a contact when he/she floods you with emoticons.

And BTW, I happily refused to give it to him, oh I love to tease Patrick :) (why? if some people are stupid enough to feed lamers with the tools, I refuse to give them the patches. Let them be vulnerable so that they learn about (in)security)

Oh and here's a good quote from the Urban Dictionary describing the situation.

Would-be hackers would come to use the phrase when taking someone out with a ping flood or other DoS attack, and although no access to the victim's system

note: it couldn't even be qualified as a Denial Of Service attack, but simple application crashing through known/unpatched means.

hehe, lord pedio strikes back..... anyways, who still gives a damn about msn related stuff such as flooding and crashing...... i remember when i was 14 when i used to use a program called netseed aw shi hek if i'm not mistaken...long time ago

Mazen, you didn't get my point =P I said I won't be providing this script to him since he's a script kiddie and he should stay vulnerable.

i think he meant the script that makes the flood, not the one that protects u from it.

so you call me a script kiddie for making my friend a script :S and O ofc the good old emoticon glitch? meh... you do realize that you can just send any long string over and over again and it would crash msn but well im sure you'll say that you already know that lol

well the fact is i dnt call myself a hacker/cracker so i got pissed when i was called a "script kiddie".... afterall i just wrote 4 lines and passed it on to friends. off wiki "a script kiddie is a derogatory term for inexperienced crackers who use scripts and programs developed by others" .... i write my own stuff dnt need to copy paste. heres my site if you wanna check it www.khalil.ws still havent uploaded all my work tho...  dont have the time. also what pissed me off is that ur admin called me stupid and my friend a lamer.

ur site is good, and the progs that u did are interesting, but u still got a pretty long way into security
ur kings of chaos programs are nice, but what would have been smth, is a image recognition that is able to recon the KoC ones AND the clicking numbers.

:) who said i dont have an OCR program ;), im 16 ive made my own trojans/viruses when i was 14 i mean pfff how hard is it to make a server/client program, or a program that writes to ur registry or a program that keylogs... I found it lame so since then ive just been making programs that i use everyday then decided time to make a personal site and slowly upload my work. I know: vb6, xml, xsl, css, php, mysql, flash, html, javascript, batch, then a little python, weak at C++, tried FASM and thats probably it.

current projects: SC autobanker, SWARS autobanker, rewriting functions i used in the past, PHP server/Flash Client MORPG, SWARS Farm Finder, learning C++, improving site, building my own community, fixing old work to upload, cleaning old code to relase as open source on site, SMTP server/client on vb6, erm list is endless... i have many projects

o and my time of being into hacking and security or w/e ive hacked my school site kept trying mysql code into the post data and got it i then actually then bribed the teach to drop some 1 week detention for a fight i had by telling him this exploit on the schools site. meh thats enuff abt me to get an idea. o and ive added a flood protection to my msn+ script and im planning to add one that spams the dude by blocking/unblocking filling the window with msn popups, havent uploaded to my site yet tho want to add more features.

I called HIM (patrick) a script-kiddie for using a program that is not HIS and without understanding how it works :).

no one said u dont have any talents/knowledge and you talking like that isn't a way to prove it.
the big mistake u just made is that OCR program DO NOT work on the pictures used for clicking and u need to write ur own cleaning/filtering algorithm to make the image recognizable by a nnet or an OCR if it's able to. i dont say it's impossible, ive seen some around.
coding isn't in the number of languange that u know....
and about hacking ur school site... well lol...am i supposed to say ... the fact that u blindely tried to inject that sql/data means u dont  really have enough knowledge about it. but anyway, hacking was never about guetting access to a site and briding people. i dont say i haven't defaced sites before, but still i think its lame. i had my reasons back then.
You still have a long way to run and a lot to learn, but i dont see how are you willing to do that, if all u can say is what u can do not what u like to learn

erm lol well too bad coz im not here to learn just stopped by coz pat told me of the flaming. and posted abt my stuff coz well some1 wanted to know abt me and its not like i get to brag abt it often. was a little interested in the community but meh... and i never said that coding was abt the number of languages u knew or that i injected that code pure random and abt the captcha decoder i was thinking abt the one in the attk/training/armory page .. btw nice flame bait coz its always mature to flame the new ones on a forum

khalil, believe me u are more than welcome in this forum, but concerning ur last post, i have to agree with padre, eno true "hackers" don't brag about themselfs, "true hackers" dont hack just to say they hack, they do it for knowledge, for testing their knowledge about networking/security/coding, and a "true hacker" is someone who masters networks security and coding. nothing is wrong with what you do, that's the way i'm sure all hackers started, that's the way i'm sure padre started. at 16 u just cant have the same knowledge as people who studied security/networking/coding/... at university. so dont take it as an insult if people call u a kiddie as long as ur still 16.

anyway, if u stopped, well it's pretty early and ur still on the "start" of the road, too bad.
as for me, no im not a hacker and untill now, didn't have the chance to study those @ uni. but maybe someday i will , it's a pretty nice subject :)
