Sun Microsystems will open-source Java

"Sun Microsystems will open-source Java--it just has to figure out how to do it"

http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/news/21562 … ource-java

I am Happy  ..
hope they pay much attention to prevent forking.

I am crossing to the other side of the software world...
no more MS Technologies and VB.Net w SQL Server 2005 ...no matter how nice those brochures and ads look like
This is my Last project using those technologies..

I think i am completely ready to cross to the othe side, to the open source side

umm.. halla2 crossing to the hardware world is still far away ya chiphead (if ur still reading the forums  :S )

mir, you simply don't know what you are talking about!

.NET is the future when it comes to software or web development.

Re: Sun Microsystems will open-source Java

Well, Everyone has his opinion... and has reasons to believe in them ...

Well that will be off-topic to discuss .net and java
Just wanted to share that Java will become Open Source.. that is an important thing
I Wonder when other programming languages will become open-sourced

if u are reasonable person and can prove ur point of view via links or by explaining why,you can make a serious and meaningful new topic... then i would  read and understand ur point of view
i will then post my point of view ...
then the post gets locked (sorry couldn't help typing this)

there's a difference between flaming another member and giving your point of view. All opinions are welcome if they are submitted in a suitable manner.

Halla2 open source has got its advantages but disadvantages also. Dont get too exited it will not be the end of all your problems but of course you cannot progress if you dont try new things.
