Google Summer Of Code

I really Like the Summer of Code initiative By google for lots of reasons
It supports the Open Source Community and The Students with empty pockets
and Helps all the Developers shape their skills, put a fuzz word on their resume
u get some money in the End( 4500 USD / 3 months) and the most important  there is a t-shirt included once u finish ur project ...

there are 61 Participating Mentoring Organizations so far
a big variety.. w big names
They are not taking Students Applications yet

So anyone considering to participate ?
maybe if someone likes the idea.. we would team up 

i think the main objective would be to learn, work with international leaders w have fun
w it is nice to help the open source community..

it seems really interesting...
i would have thought about applying even if it was for free, but it's even more motivating with the amount they pay. 1500$/month, you could never  dream for that in lebanon...
if i have time this summer, if i wont be doing something else, i'll apply for sure

i just think it is nice initiative...
ano students don't have something to loose
it can be a very educational experience with some revenue

i guess the main goal is to increase the popularity and attitude toward google..

so we keep saying instead of search the internet:
Google that.. u will find answer for sure
