A week or so ago I received an email from sodetel asking all users to change the settings in their email client from bow.sodetel.net.lb to pop.sodete.net.lb
I replied to the mail saying that if they want to change the server name to "pop", why dont they just add a DNS alias "bow" that would point to the new server "pop" instead of asking all the users to reconfigure their mail client.
lol then we wouldn't be lebanese would we?
:)
What if they want 'bow' to eventually refer to something other than the pop3 server ? Creating a 'bow' alias to point to 'pop' would prevent them from using the name for something else.
