Uncharted 4:A Thief's End - A Masterpiece

I was willing to sell my PS4 , since it is recently collecting dust and comparatively to high end PC Gaming and the desktop I own , increased my willingness to sell it. But  two days ago , Uncharted 4 popped out and it seems a turning point in gaming history.

Uncharted 4 review – the best-looking game ever

Pros: The best graphics ever in a console game. Incredible cinematic presentation and brilliantly orchestrated action sequences. Excellent voice-acting and surprisingly good multiplayer.

With a Jugar 8 Cores CPU andcustom AMD GPU of  approximately 2 TFLOPS / 8 GDDR5 unified system , PS4 Hardware is pushed to its limit with this exclusive & produced such a master piece  current PC  standards matches for a USD 400 gaming console.

Truth to be said , thank you PS4 and Naughty Dog for such a game and pointing how great optimization and utilizing a system resources can achieve such results.

Every game from Naughty Dog in the Uncharted series and The Last of Us are stunning. Gameplay and story telling (especially in The Last of Us) is marvelous. They have really proven themselves and are one of the best studios in the world. Their games, since the very first Crash Bandicoot on the PS1, have been incredible and played and liked all of them.

Its a studio that should be reckoned with and I am definitely going to play this game. It was definitely a very good investment from Sony when they acquired the studio.

I have seen a video on youtube and it's impressive, but then I saw another one it wasn't so impressive. It seems that there are sequences that are amazing, others are a bit bland. Of course it's the amazing stuff that you'll see marketed. I am not sure what the verdict it, I guess I can wait a bit until it comes out and more people test it.

Got mine from amazon.com but I need a EU pre order bonus code please, and I don't want my US one since redeeming it on a US account on my ps4 will logically link the bonuses to the US account since it's not a downloadable content just online bonuses and my main account is a EU one. And willing to trade of course.

A True Master Piece that  will increase PS4 Sales, definitely an Xbox One Killer. Even high end PC Gaming enthusiasts like me are shocked  , Noting that: "The Last of Us 2's" production is already underway now that Naughty Dog has already released "Uncharted 4." The developer has included a teaser in "Uncharted 4's" gameplay, where a poster of a pregnant girl that reads "The Last of Us American Daughter" is seen.

With these graphical fidelity filled with next gen techniques  special AA , physics simulations , animations etc..  Naughty Dog proved  that the PS4   is a very capable  for a USD 400 console. Looking forward for a next gen master piece " Last of Us 2" , what PS4 Neo (4.5 or 4K) will offer, and Sony VR experience.

I'll give you something to think about: naughty dog not bound by exclusivity deals and develops for pc. This shows you that the existence of consoles are a double edged sword, they hold back what developers are able to do but in the same time without the console revenue, far fewer developers will afford to develop games. If only Sony and Microsoft provided hardware that isn't obsolete on launch,  they wouldn't need exclusives to drive hardware sales and stop holding back the potential of gaming that we got glimpses of in the witcher 3 pre downgrade.

@silo_m8 how do you mean obsolete?
I hardly call 2Tflops in 2013 obsolete, and at $399. when PS4 first came out you couldn't match it's Perf/$ ratio until mid/late 2014. Sony could have opted to go the old route of the ps3 and develop their own processor, making the thing very expensive and defeat the purpose. sony was selling the ps3 for $600 and it was at a loss, they were losing extra $300 on each ps3 sold. They still are now with ps4 but much less than ps3.
with PS4 4k/Neo people will have 2 options. probably entry level model at (249-299) and higher end model  at 9550-600)

Beautiful game, I gamed on a GTX 970 for over a year and none of the games I played reached the fidelity of Uncharted 4. It's impressive how much you could pump out of relatively slow hardware when everything is so well optimized.

Re: Uncharted 4:A Thief's End - A Masterpiece

Owning a high end pc but you do realize uncharted 4 is just a tip on the iceberg. What awaits us from other naughty dogs and Rockstar games are mind blowing. Sit tight and enjoy the beside  the neo is soon coming out and not to mention, god of war 4, detroit: become human, the next ready at dawn action/ adventure game, new infamous. Ps4 has some pretty good years to impress us. PS4 and Xbox Scorpio are actually closing the gap with high end PC gaming , basically consoles are modified PC ( x86 architecture , modified CPU&GPU ...). But Uncharted 4 showed how great optimization can lead mind-blowing image fidelity on mid-range systems). I am enjoying Uncharted 4 so and the real time base rendering and the flow of story line , action , animation , narrative ,   graphics , different locations , long game play , touching moments , skin rendering , global illumination techniques, AA techniques , grass physics all are hit , in which all pieces combined to gather to create this masterpiece. Where I am enjoying recent titles  on a high end  Desktop gaming (Tomb Raider , Quantum Break , Witcher 3 , Dark Souls 3 , Xcom 2 on 1440p , High Settings > 30Fps )  vs Uncharted 4  the overall entertaining  factor to me leans now toward my overall experience (yet to be completed) with Uncharted 4. Two my three friends ( who are PC Gaming enthusiasts) came and It , went and grabbed 3 brand new PS4 consoles with Uncharted 4 LOL.

Midrange? You mean low-end, mate. They use an APU with 8 Jaguar cores and the graphical performance of an HD 7790.

Mate, the consoles have advantage over PC by having a set hardware spec, so the developers can optimize better. AMD have released a shader intrinsic library into OpenGPU to aid developers porting games to the PC.The one thing I do like about my PS4....don't have to worry about problems  occurring at launch . It might not be 60 fps plus but at least I can play the  game at launch. I suppose physical copies of games that I can trade in if I try of them or don't like them is a close 2nd. PlayStation Neo will makes things interesting by featuring a Powerful Polaris GPU and 4.19 TFLOPS of Performance. The point here , performance/price ratio of consoles are better than PCs on the long run  . A Gpu this year will play games on ultra next years games may only run at medium after 4 yrs or so may have to be on low- Ps4 basically is a promise to get a good 5 yrs of gaming in higher graphics that has been specifically made to run with a PS4 So price to performance the value is console as much as I am a lover of PC the console does offer way better pricing But at least you can play the games for 5 yrs This is a price to performance argument. the bullish marketing of graphic cards = life span of graphic cards upgrades are lower compared to a console , with upcoming more demand-able AAA titles , direct x 12 , 13 ... and so on. + the CPU bottleneck more powerful graphic cards upgrades ..

Add a  gpu
Add psu
Add hdd
Add mobo
And CPU
Add keyboard and mouse
Add a case to house it and  you are  looking looking at  around 700 USD - at  the same hardware capabilities and stable system as a a PS4 , and this  PC doesn't offer a 5 yr promise that a gpu will play games beautifully 4 yrs away from now.

If I wanted to go down to the resolution and framerate of a PS4, a GPU would comfortably last me five years.
