Re: Hey!

Welcome to the forum.
And oh could you tell me more about your major.
Are you working now? Decent salary? What do you do?
I'm going to college hopefully the end of the next year not sure what major to choose, I was thinking of mechanical engineering, but I have no information about it. I'd appreciate your help :)

Re: Hey!

Oh wow more photographers!
Maybe I can bring to your attention that there is a "Photography Hardware" thread in the hardware forum, and a "Photography" thread in the lobby (I think). You will find that most of the latest text written on that topic is by me, but hopefully that will change!

BTW, 6D, nice camera! I wonder if it's as durable as the 7D (but I guess not):

Re: Hey!

@Nuke
i'm an industrial mechanical engineer, narrow field for work in Leb, i'm based here but my work is abroad, mainly in the Gulf area. I'm a specialist in Industrial gearunits and electric motors (not generators!). Another aspect of the mechanical engineer is the HVAC(heating ventilation and air conditioning), in that field you'll find work more easily. As for the salaries, depends on the market, as an engineer you must be able to pull a decent salary (also depending on what "decent" is for you). Anyway, you'll figure this out as you go, good luck for the years to come.

@rolf
well, i'm not planning on abusing my cam physically, i try to protect it as much as i can, these things are not cheap you know. As for the quality, 6D has a full frame sensor, so better in low light conditions, i can easily pull "good" pix at 12800ISO. Anyway, what's equally important is the lens, so a 6D with an 18-55 5.6f won't be the best combination out there!
