Frequency of numbers in Excel

Is it possible to find the frequency of every number in an Excel sheet?

Let's say we have a sheet full of random numbers, any way of getting a list of all those numbers and how many times each number is found?

Re: Frequency of numbers in Excel

Export the file as csv. In a unix shell Reparse all collumns into one collumn. Run thru sort. Use find to count the concurrancy of each variable. Sort once more to have i a nice order.

To know how many times the same number is used, a nice trick you can do is CTRL+F and type the number you want and it'll show how many times it found it.

Re: Frequency of numbers in Excel

You can use frequency array formula - putting data in groups and counting how many are in it. Though you can make the bins the list of every number appearing in your list...you can send the excel if you want I can have a look.
