Overview

BSynchro is looking to add a front-end web developer to our User Experience department. This is a full-time position with a thriving business software company. We produce data-rich applications for the Web & mobile, rather than content-oriented websites.
We’re looking for someone familiar with modern approaches to HTML & CSS. If the words “image sprite”, “nth-child selector” and “media query” make you smile, let’s talk.

Responsibilities

You will be working with a small team of user experience architects who set the look & feel of each application. You will mainly be expected to:

• Build the markup and style sheets for each project.

• Extract images and icons from the Illustrator or Photoshop file delivered to you, in the proper format and dimensions.

• Ensure your code works correctly, in various browsers and viewports.

• Coordinate with back-end developers who will take your work and integrate it into the application.

Required qualifications

• Experienced in HTML5

• Experienced in CSS3

• Up-to-date web standards and best practices

• Cross-browser and cross-device compatibility

• Media queries and responsive layouts

• Knowledge in how HTML integrates with Javascript and with server-side code

Desirable skills

• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, at least enough to produce UI assets from a design

• Javascript

• Jquery

• AngularJS is highly desirable, or familiarity with MVC logic

• Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio

• Using Web Developer tools in browsers for troubleshooting
