Advanced Free Firewall software

Hi, i didn't know what to call it, so i called it Advanced, what i'm asking about is a firewall that block all connections by default and allow only selected programs and IPs and shows every host that is making a connection with my machine. all famous firewalls like ZoneAlarm and Comodo do things automatically and in a "smart" way as they claim !

So i need your suggestions guys.

If you have a linux box to spare, it's worth it to take the time to familiarize yourself with netfilter/iptables.

I agree 100% on your suggestion, and i use linux at home and it is perfect when it comes to security, but at work it is a windows environment, thank you by the way.

I installed comodo, but it seems like a toy, no connections monitoring, i want something customizable and fine-tunable.

older version (v5.12) is so much better then the newer one....
