Doritos! hahahahha, nah these two pics were taken in two different days thats all.
as for the LED strips you can find them @ any electric parts shop i just went there and bought a 1m red LED strip (some shops might not sell you 1m, you either take it all or nothing "a 5m strip")
then i just welded the + and - sides and connected them to my 12v cable on my PSU, it might not work untill you switch your positive and negative ends
example:
but you should note that this stip tends to get warm so i dont recommend it if you dont have enough cooling/ventilation in your case
I have to ask for those who have rigs with the 4770k cpu. Why not get the 4790k? it's like a 10$ difference and an entire 10% clock performance (from a 3.9 turbo to 4.4)
AvoK95 wrote:I think an SSD and a huge HDD would be the best upgrade if your games are running well.
Other than that the rig seems superb.
a 4k screen perhaps ?!
I think a 4k screen would be also very large. And I have come to the conclusion recently that any screen size beyond 24 inch actually becomes very annoying and hurts the eyes, in fact, 24 inch is annoying and hurt my eyes. I personally own a dual 23 inch screen and really, they cannot be more perfect. I got a 24 inch screen at work, and that extra inch is annoying. So if getting a 4k screen also means going to large screen sizes I would personally recommend against it.
Yes I definitely recommend an ssd, I also recommend you be careful choosing the ssd, cause ssds vary alot in performance. I hear great things about samsung evo. I personaly own 2 hyperx3k ssd and they are great. And I have seen the ssd now v300 ssd from kingstone and it is complete shit(I do not recommend that) I have seen it max out at 2 MB/s(wtf?)
I also recommend moving the desktop folder to your HDD directory instead of the ssd, since it is mostly going to be shortcuts, music and the random clip you downloaded off youtube.

Thanks i had to research each component alone .. and was very lucky :) hopefully this pc will get me through the next 5 years with ease.
@techguru, the whole thing was about 1900$, still need to buy a comfortable chair and some decent keyboard and mouse "so add about 300$ to the mix"
Here is a rig upgrade I did for a friend of mine:

How much did the 1m strip cost? I'm thinking of moding one under the top vents on my CM Storm trooper.
it was around L.L6000 / 1m
It could help if you guys posted where or how did you got the items.

I am playing all games on my gtx970 at ultra settings with stable FPS (shadow of mordor test gives best:131 worst:54 fps) for me the 970 is working great and i hope its price will drop so i can get another one sooner for SLI

There was not much else to buy. It was either that or one that was around 400-500W. I think PCandParts had run out of PSUs when I was building.
My new set of peripherals:

Poor choice of keyboard, the Razer Blackwidow uses Kailh switches (chinese cherry clones) instead of original German Cherry MX switches, you could have gone with the Corsair K70, the K70 RGB if you like RGB, the Logitech G710+, the G910 or the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid, TK, Pro or Rapid-i, all of those are better than the blackwidow as they use Cherry MX switches, or Romer-G (made by Omron) in case of the G910.
where did you get the HeadSet from ?
what PowerSupply would you recommend for my high-end rig(similar to NAM's)?
